Bartosz Szwed is a dunker who grew up in a small village in Norway and competes internationally under the Norwegian flag, with Polish family behind him and a Polish contest circuit that gave him his first wins. He got into dunking through his father, Mariusz, who competed himself, and he films with his brother Jakub under the Szwed Brothers name.
His biggest result is the Chance dunk contest at the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Prague Masters in August 2023, a $4,000 title he took by going between the legs over three volunteers in the final. The two dunkers he beat there were Rafal Lipinski and Kristaps Dargais, which is about as strong a pair of runners-up as a European contest produces.
He had been in that same Prague contest a year earlier, in 2022, when it turned into an all-Polish final and Piotr Grabowski won it ahead of Lipinski and Szwed. Winning it outright the following year against two of the same names is the clearest measure of how fast he closed the gap.
Before Prague he had won the Battle 4 Poland slam dunk contest at Kaliski Streetball in Kalisz in August 2021, and he is on that tournament’s official roll of champions. In December 2024 he won the dunk contest at the BLNO 3x3 Challenge in Norway, the domestic title in the country he competes for.
In June 2026 he was picked for Kings of Air in Riga, a nine-dunker field drawn from seven countries, and earlier that month he was drafted into the inaugural DUNK MANIA at the FIBA 3x3 World Cup in Warsaw. He went in on Team Joel alongside captain Joel Henry and Chris Staples, and they lost the final to Grabowski’s side.
He is listed at 5’9”, which puts him well below the height of most of the field he competes against, and his contest dunks lean on prop clearance and leg passes rather than reach. His Instagram, where he posts as bartekdunker, carries the Norwegian and Polish flags together, and the split is real: FIBA enters him for Norway, the Polish organisers who gave him his first title list him as Polish, and he has not publicly picked one over the other.
