Marlow Gilmore Jr. is a 6'6" dunker from Orangeburg County, South Carolina and one of the most physically imposing athletes in Shaq's DunkMan League. He is a one-foot jumper off his left, and the combination of his size and his takeoff is what makes him a problem in any contest he enters.
His route to professional dunking ran through college basketball. He played at Dodge City Community College in Kansas before moving up to Division I at Western Carolina, then finished out at Francis Marion back home in South Carolina. Along the way his dunking became the thing people knew him for, including a free throw line windmill in a Western Carolina game that landed on SportsCenter's Top 10.
That reputation earned him a place in the College Slam Dunk Contest broadcast on ESPN, putting him in front of a national audience against the best in-game dunkers in college basketball. It is a step a lot of the DunkMan field never took, and it is part of why he arrived in the league already used to performing with cameras on him.
He has been filmed extensively by Dunkademics, where his size and hang time make every session he shows up to a highlight reel. At 6'6" he does not need a running start at a low rim to look impressive, and he is one of the few dunkers in the league who can go up one-footed from a standstill and still finish above everyone else in the gym.
Dunkman League 2026. He finished fifth in Group Stage D on August 11, in a group won by Mac McClung, and did not advance to the World Championship.
