Gustavo Haakin, known online as Dunk Boy, is a professional dunker from Sao Paulo and the number one dunker in Brazil. He has spent roughly seven years building his name into one of the most recognized in South American dunking, and he competes in Shaq's DunkMan League as the standard bearer for the Brazilian scene.
He stands 6'3" with a 46" vertical, and his style is built on fluidity rather than brute force. He is known for clean execution and effortless cuff finishes, the kind of dunks that look easier than they are because nothing about the motion looks rushed. His signature is the Eastbay Scorpion, and his bag also includes the Zianimill Eastbay and the One-Hand Cuff Tetris, all of which combine real difficulty with the smoothness he is known for.
He competed on the second night of DunkMan competition, going up against a field stacked with the best dunkers on the planet. He has been open about what the league means to him beyond his own results, describing it as a chance to prove Brazilian dunking belongs among the elite and to carry the country's hopes into a genuinely global competition.
His stated long-term goal gives a sense of where his ceiling sits: a double-up, under-both-legs dunk over a motorcycle. He has been filmed by Dunkademics and represents the international reach of professional dunking, a sport where the best athletes now come from everywhere rather than one country.
Dunkman League 2026. He competed in Group Stage B on July 28, in a group won by Dillan McCarthy, and finished outside the advancing places. The Dunkman League runs four group stages of six at the Overtime Elite Arena in Atlanta. The four group winners advance to the World Championship on August 25 along with the four highest scoring non-winners across all groups, for a field of eight and a $500,000 prize.
