Guy Oliver, who goes by OliverTwist, is a 5’9” two-foot dunker with a 50 inch vertical. He plants right-left and his signature is a 360 one-hand.
Fifty inches at 5’9” puts his head at rim level, which is the threshold dunkers talk about and very few reach. Standing reach at that height is around seven feet nine, so a fifty inch jump gets his hand close to twelve feet: nearly two feet of clearance above the ring for someone three inches under six foot.
Dunkademics built a video around the question of who the highest jumper in the world is, putting him alongside Daniel Kabeya, another sub-six-foot dunker with a measured vertical in the mid-fifties. That is the company he keeps: the small group of dunkers whose numbers are the story before the dunks are.
He has been filmed in Dunkademics sessions with Jamal Harris and Anthony Hamilton, and he goes back far enough in the channel’s archive to appear in the 2019 year-end best-dunks compilation.
