Jonathan Edwards, who goes by Airtime, is a 6'4" dunker from Waterbury, Connecticut and one of the purest one-foot jumpers in Shaq's DunkMan League. He carries a 42" vertical and takes off smoothly on one leg, finishing predominantly with his left hand.
He did not land his first dunk until he was 17, which is late by the standards of most professional dunkers, and he made up the ground quickly. Within a few years he had built a career that included NBA halftime shows, international contests, and motion capture work for the NBA 2K video game series, which involves performing dunks in a studio so they can be modeled into the game.
His bag is built on originals rather than copies. He is known for his Scorpion, his Fake Eastbay, and his Behind the Back, and he treats dunking as a creative discipline where difficulty, style, and clean execution all have to be present for a dunk to count as good.
Edwards was selected for Group A of the inaugural $500,000 DunkMan League, one of the deepest groups in the draw, and competed on opening night. He has been vocal about wanting to represent Connecticut and to open doors for underrepresented athletes in a sport that is still building its professional structure. He has been filmed by Dunkademics throughout his rise.
Dunkman League 2026. He competed in Group Stage A on July 21, in a group won by Cam Hazzard ahead of Joel Henry and Chen Dengxing, and finished outside the advancing places. The Dunkman League runs four group stages of six at the Overtime Elite Arena in Atlanta. The four group winners advance to the World Championship on August 25 along with the four highest scoring non-winners across all groups, for a field of eight and a $500,000 prize.
