Chen Dengxing is a Chinese dunker from Jinhua in Zhejiang Province, known at home as the Dunk King of China, and one of the most decorated contest dunkers in the world. At 5'9" he is one of the smallest athletes in Shaq's DunkMan League, and he has spent his career proving that the rim does not care how tall you are.
His breakthrough on the world stage came in Paris, where he won the dunk contest at Quai 54, the biggest streetball tournament on the planet. He was the first Chinese athlete ever to take the title and the first Asian athlete to do it with a flawless card, earning perfect scores on all three of his attempts. He went back and won it again the following year at 40 years old, an age when most dunkers have long since stopped competing.
Chen joined the Chinese dunk crew Made in China in 2011 and has been stacking titles ever since, including the CBA Dunk Contest and the China Dunk League. His vertical leap has been reported at better than 52 inches, which is what allows him to clear stacks of people on his double-up Eastbay, a dunk he has landed over seven or more. In the DunkMan League season opener he soared over six people and drew a visible reaction from Shaq himself, and he also competed for Team Grabo at the 2026 FIBA 3x3 Dunk Mania in Warsaw.
He is now based in Hangzhou, where he founded DK Dunk Park, a facility offering professional training to basketball players and dunkers coming up behind him. After more than a decade at the top he has become the reference point for dunking in China and one of the sport's genuine global ambassadors.
Dunkman League 2026. He finished third in Group Stage A on July 21 with 8.85, two hundredths behind Joel Henry. All four groups are now complete and his 8.85 finished fourth on the wildcard board, taking the last of the four places. He advances to the World Championship on August 25. The Dunkman League runs four group stages of six at the Overtime Elite Arena in Atlanta. The four group winners advance to the World Championship on August 25 along with the four highest scoring non-winners across all groups, for a field of eight and a $500,000 prize.
