Kwame Alexander

Kwame Alexander is a 6’7” dunker and a Sprite Slam Dunk Showdown champion who has also worked on Space Jam.

The Sprite Slam Dunk Showdown was the largest amateur dunk competition in the United States for most of its run, working through regional qualifiers into a national final at NBA All-Star Weekend. Winning it meant beating a field assembled from every city that held a leg, and for a stretch it was the main way an unsigned dunker got seen.

He goes back to the very beginning of Dunkademics. His footage from the channel’s first session is still up, and he made the 2015 best-dunks compilation. That is a decade on one platform, which almost nobody else here can claim.
