Travis Slade is a 6’1.5” two-foot dunker with a 44.5 inch running vertical and an 8’0.5” standing reach. He plants right-left and his signature is the free-throw-line dunk.
The free-throw-line dunk is a different problem from every other dunk on this site. It is not about vertical, it is about horizontal distance: fifteen feet from the line to the rim, covered in one jump, with enough height left at the end to get the ball down. Almost nobody in the sport lists it as their signature, because the dunkers who can jump highest are usually not the ones who can jump furthest, and the two require different takeoffs. Slade goes off two feet, which makes it harder again, since the two-foot gather kills horizontal momentum in a way a one-foot takeoff does not.
He was one of the dunkers at the Dunkademics session in Las Vegas in January 2025, an eighteen-dunker gym day hosted by Donovan Hawkins and filmed by Billy Doran on a stiff rim measured at 9 feet 11 and a quarter inches, and he appears in the session footage with Hyrum Fechser as well as in Dunkademics year-end best-dunks compilations for both 2024 and 2025.
He is one of the 37 dunkers rated in Dunkdle and sits on the Dunk Talk list of guests still to book.
