Ty Jackson

Ty Jackson is a 5’4” two-foot dunker from the United States with a 50 inch vertical, and he finished runner-up in DUNKMAN, the Shaquille O’Neal limited series that aired on TNT in December 2025.

That series brought in 40 dunkers from around the world, ran at the Overtime Elite Arena in Atlanta with $200,000 on the line, and was judged by a panel including Shaq, Vince Carter, Dwight Howard, Nate Robinson, Chris Webber and Mac McClung. Jackson reached the final round against Jordan Kilganon on December 18. The two finished level, forcing a sudden-death dunk-off, and Kilganon took it. Tyler Currie and Donovan Hawkins were also in the late stages of that field.

Reaching the last two of a 40-dunker televised bracket at 5’4” is the headline on his record, and the height is not a footnote to it. He is the shortest dunker on this site, and a 50 inch vertical is what makes the rim reachable at all at that height.

Seven months later he took second again, at the DKB dunk contest in Fiorenzuola d’Arda, Italy, on July 4, 2026. Chen Dengxing took the belt; Jackson finished ahead of Kirill Miroshnichenko, Mattia Meneghini and Chris Staples. DKB is the longest-running dunk contest in Italy and pulls its field from several continents.

He has also gone head-to-head with Chris Staples at the Venice Beach dunk contest, and Dunkademics has filmed him in session with Tyler Currie and included him in its year-end best-dunks compilations for 2023 and 2025.
