Isaiah Espinoza is a 5’9” dunker with a 50 inch vertical, measured rather than estimated. He hit that number on the Vert Trainer at Dunk Camp in June 2025, in a live jump-off against Darius Clark, who edged him with a 51 inch jump that set a record on the device.
A measured 50 inches at 5’9” is a rare combination. It puts his hand at roughly 11 feet 6 inches at peak, which is enough to dunk cleanly but leaves nothing spare, so everything he does has to be timed to the top of the jump rather than muscled through it.
He came to dunking through volleyball, which shows in the approach: a fast, flat run-in and a jump that loads late, closer to an attacker’s takeoff than a basketball player’s gather.
He posts as dawrldvszay. Outside the Dunk Camp measurement there are no contest results on his record, which is not unusual for a dunker at this stage. The 50 inches is the fact that matters, and unlike most vertical numbers in this sport it was recorded in front of witnesses on a device built to measure it.
