Brandon Ruffin, known as B-Ruff, is a professional dunker born in Lancaster, California and now based in San Gabriel. He competes in Shaq's DunkMan League and has spent roughly eight years on the contest circuit, long enough to have built one of the more well-travelled records in the field.
He has won multiple international dunk contests across Mexico, Japan, and Canada, which puts him in a small group of American dunkers who regularly win abroad. His start in the sport was about as dramatic as it gets: in his very first contest he jumped over a Ferrari.
His signature is the Ruffin It, a tap backboard reverse that requires him to throw the ball off the backboard, catch it in the air, and finish backwards. It is the dunk that gave him his name in the community and it captures how he competes, combining raw power off two feet with the kind of setup most dunkers will not attempt under pressure.
He stands 6'0" with a 48.5" vertical and plants right-left. Beyond competing he founded HighRize Fam LLC, and he has been a regular in front of the Dunkademics cameras for years, which is where a lot of his creative package first got documented.
Dunkman League 2026. He finished sixth in Group Stage D on August 11, in a group won by Mac McClung, and did not advance to the World Championship.
